How online psychotherapy works:

How do I get to my first online session?

You make an initial appointment via email: karina.teuchtmann@gmail.com or the contact form where we exchange contact information (Skype username/FaceTime and payment details, time of the appointment). On the scheduled day, just prompt me to start our session, the minute your time slot has started.  We have 50 min time just like in the regular therapy room session.

I have so many questions can I chat or text with you in between sessions?

We will address any questions you may have during the video session. I use emails to schedule appointments only.

How often will the sessions take place?

Help is available at your time and place in a safe and private online environment. It’s convenient so the frequency of sessions is up to you, there tend to be more sessions at the beginning of the process and they get less frequent with time.

How do I pay for the sessions?

I will send you the bank transfer details or click here to pay through PayPal.  It’s easy if you need to reschedule or cancel, we will find a time slot that goes for both of us. Please remember no-shows or cancellation on therapy day incur the full fee.

Fee information:

Your investment:  50 min individual session: 40 Euro.

I do not want finances to be a barrier for you to receive counseling.  Thus, I maintain a couple of spots on my caseload for reduced fee slots.  Currently, those slots are full.

Will my privacy be protected?

As a licensed psychologist and psychotherapist I am committed to safeguarding the welfare and anonymity of my clients so they can feel safe and comfortable. My work is constantly reviewed by other professionals (supervision) and I am a member of the Austrian Society for Existential Analysis and Logotherapy.

While online counseling may have similar benefits to traditional face-to-face therapy, it will not be able to substitute it in every case. Please note that you need to see a respective professional IN PERSON if you seek couples therapy, need to be provided with a written medical diagnosis, fulfill any court order, obtain clinical records or prescribed medication.
