Hi, I’m Karina, a psychologist and psychotherapist

If you’re feeling stuck in a negative cycle with your relationship, psychosomatic issues, or anxiety & depression, I’m here to help you experience the change, relief and lightness you’re looking for. I’m a psychotherapist and psychologist with a passion for change work that makes a real difference in the lives of clients that I see in online therapy.

About me

I love what I do.

Just to give you an idea what I regularly help clients with, below are some common reasons why my clients come to me for counseling (also online counseling):

  • stress, anxiety, panic attacks
  • relationship difficulties
  • depression
  • trauma

Born in Poland, I received an advanced training in existential analytical psychotherapy at the GLE Institute in Vienna and a master’s degree in psychology. I underwent a training in Client Focused Therapy and in ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy). I gained my professional experience working in the Dept. of Psychosomatics at the AKH University Clinic, Private Hospital Goettlicher Heiland in Vienna and in the Gynecological and Obstetrics St. Sofia Hospital in Warsaw. I am also trained to work with people wishing to regain control of their life and emotions after a traumatic event.

I fully understand how difficult it may be to take the first step toward getting help. When you are ready, I would be happy to hear from you.

Trauma therapy

What is trauma?

Our psychological scars can result from sudden and very intense threats or during periods of continuous anxiety and worry. The following are examples of possible traumatic events: illness, medical intervention or hospitalization in the childhood, loss of home, emotional and/or physical neglect or abuse, being witness to disturbing events, exposure prenatal or birth traumatic stress, loss of siblings or carers.

What are the symptoms?

When such events are accompanied by feelings of helplessness and defenselessness or even fear for our own lives than we often maintain fear-based emotional and behavioral patterns for the rest of our lives. Traumatic events leave a negative imprint in our nervous system, are responsible for flashbacks, anxiety, irritability, disappointment, sadness, anger, denial and/or multiple psychosomatic reactions.

What is trauma therapy?

Trauma therapy aims to provide relief from the suffering the traumatic experiences have caused. Its objective is to stabilize you, enable you to experience what it really feels like to be safe, supported, and aware, create new reference points in our nervous system so you can build a sense of self that is free of the pain of the past experiences and ready to embrace the present and the future.

Can I heal?

No matter what caused your traumatic bodily, emotional or psychological responses, you can re-write your story and resume the life you want for yourself. Trauma should be treated, it can be healed.

How to start?

Schedule your session to start your healing process as soon as possible.

Thank you for your trust. I am truly grateful for the work with so many beautiful beings who are ready to re-write their life stories.

Transform Your Relationships

Our relationships shape our lives profoundly. But what if your past experiences are unintentionally creating patterns of conflict or insecurity?

Learn how therapy can help you identify your attachment patterns, heal past hurts, and build stronger, more fulfilling relationships.

Imagine getting support and guidance while talking about some of the following questions (related to the cornerstones of life in Existential Analysis):

  • Do I have enough protection, space and support in my life, so that I feel safe? Am I able to TRUST both in myself and in the world around me? If I cannot fully answer yes, I will experience anxiety and uncertainty.

  • Do I LIKE the fact that I am alive? Does my life have values, do I experience pleasure? Does my life contain relationships, depth? Do I take time for meaningful  activities? If these things are absent in my life, I will feel cold, empty, and eventually depressed.

  • How good is the RELATIONSHIP WITH MYSELF? Can I set boundaries? Am I critical towards myself? Is it good being me, with mind, my body and my emotions? In order to be free to be my unique self, I need to have experienced justice, attention and appreciation. If we are missing these things in our lives, it is possible to develop personality disorders.

  • I am here, but why? What is the point of it all? Is there a place where I feel needed? Where I can feel productive? Do I see myself in a larger context where I sense PURPOSE in my life? Is there anything left to be done in my life? Can I see possibility in my future? If these things are absent, I can suffer from emptiness, despair, addiction and even suicidality.

In therapy we will work together to identify your past hurts, foster greater self-awareness, authentic living and healthier connections.

Congratulations on taking the first step toward improving your life and strengthening your relationships. My mission is to provide compassionate, confidential, and professional therapy services for individuals and couples, who seek to create positive changes in their lives.
